Drawing - Markers On Paper
Description
This marker drawing was initially conceived as a close-up of tree bark. But the blue and green markers beckoned, so it ended up being more abstract, cellular, chlorophyllic, hydrophilic.
The name “Grooblee” is a mashup of Blue and Green, leading to Grue and Bleen and finally to Groo and Blee. “Grove” isn’t really apropos here, but I like the sound of it. If this bothers you, feel free to send me an alternative and I’ll chew on it, along with my tree bark.

Karen, thank you! I’m glad to hear you also saw tree bark. I thought I was the only one. Thanks also for your feedback on the name. I appreciate your enthusiasm and support!

Tree bark was the first thing that came to mind! . . . but the colors totally changed what my brain was thinking! Seeing something familiar, but so differently is so cool! The detail is incredible. Don't you dare change the name!! I love this exactly as it is! . . . . .f/l/tw
